This art frame was requested from a local nationally awarded painter, Andrew de Sa. The painting is a gift for Trinity at Meadowview School, Falls Church VA. Portrays a passage from Homer’s Odyssey.
Frame was made of Sapele Hardwood, with a cherry inlay, and square walnut inserts along the sides.
The entirety of the frame was made without any use of hardware and only used lap joints. If you look closely, you will see that there are several changes in the wood thickness. There was a lot of sanding!
This was an amazing project, and we enjoyed working with Andrew.
